[CHAPTER 3--SCENE] Beyond Absentminded
Who: Yuri Lowell, Rita Mordio, Repede, Genis Sage
Where: Random island north of Chesedonia
When: After the CFY group boards the ship and is found out, then marooned on said random island
Warnings: Two pissy fonists and the possibility of being fried
Rita groaned, crossing her arms. She couldn't believe that they had been caught! She was certain to stay quiet and not move and be hidden at all times! Ugh!
...Now the three--fine, four if you included the mutt--of them were stuck on some random island with no way to continue on! Now she wouldn't be able to find Estellise, and...who knew what she would get herself into? Not to mention she was stuck with the brat, the mutt, and the idiot.
The researcher stepped away from shore and began pacing. Okay, there had to be something to do...or else they were stuck here forever. Frankly, the fonist did not savor that idea.

anyone mind if I go first? :P
I hate you. I hate you.
That water was in the way. It was separating him from possibly finding information on his sister's whereabouts. And the whereabouts of this other girl they were finding, but he wasn't nearly as worried about that as he was about his sister.
He really ... really wanted to just swim to Chesedonia. But was it possible? And once he got there, how would he be able to get in through the port side? Maybe some soldier would take pity on a poor, drenched little boy. He did have that appeal.
Genis sighed.
Okay. Gotta think of what can be done to get off of this thing. What resources did they have? What were the odds that, if they successfully completed some raft, it would float and successfully carry three humans and a dog to Chesedonia?
...
The odds? Those odds weren't good.
Genis slapped his forehead, burying his face into his hands.
"We're doomed," he said, the words muffled behind his hands.

Honestly, if he'd been told he'd be stuck on an island surrounded by watery death, he'd have laughed. Now, though? Not so much. He sighed, muttered to himself as he rummaged through their supply of food -- at least that hadn't gotten wet.
But still... they were a long ways away from the mainland.
The more time he examined the place, the less he was liking it. Genis' words weren't helping the situation any.
"Seriously, Genis. Calm down." Yuri replied a little too calmly. "Look at it this way -- at least no one's died yet."
Good choice of words there, Yuri.

Repede sighed while biting the pipe. He crawled next to Genis and sulked together, it’s a bit humor for others to watch.
His ears twitched as he listened to Yuri’s word. That wasn’t funny, Yuri. Wasn’t funny at all.
“Wrrr… Woof! Woof!” He stood and cheered Genis, and anyone else. Although, a dog like him couldn’t help much.

"Yet." She repeated rather plainly with a look at Yuri. Really, the researcher hopes no one would die because...that just meant it'd be that much harder to find Estellise, wouldn't it?
"Well, anyway, we need to find some sort of shelter, don't we? I don't know about you all, but I'd rather not be out in the middle of nowhere on this island if it started raining."
no subject
He groaned, admitting to himself that Rita actually had a point. And then he pouted. And then he stood, stretching and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Okay. So let's get to work on that." As much as he wasn't optimistic about this predicament, he was willing enough to help out and make sure they were all safe.
After all, it'd be a shame if any of them died.

Either way, though, Yuri stretched a bit, standing up and looking around the island for things to use in their makeshift shelter.
"Yeah... and then maybe we should figure out how to get off this thing once the shelter's done." he added as an afterthought.

Repede didn’t think something like that. He stood up and ran next to his permanent partner.
He crawled and glanced to Yuri without a bark. Yuri would already notice him and Repede only waited ‘an order’ what he should do next.
According to the situation now, they need woods or a cave to find a shelter. But this island never had a cave on Repede’s view. So they need to cut down the trees.

"Let's check for a cave first and foremost. If there isn't one, then we'll have to find a way to cut down some trees. Then we'd have to learn how to work together," he said, the last line being quite sarcastic. He wasn't any happier about this than the others were, and it was becoming more and more obvious.
no subject
"I didn't see anything resembling a mountain or a hill, so that might be moot." Yuri replied. "But we could still check." The sarcasm wasn't lost on the swordsman, and he frowned as he twirled his sword around boredly.
"Oh, a note -- if you two decide to start fighting again, blast the trees instead of each other. It'll save us to work of knocking them over ourselves."

Listen to Yuri’s joke, he chuckles silently. True enough there’s only trees around. But if they want this canine to find out, it took awhile.
“Woof! Woof!” Repede barked to Yuri, if he let him search around the area. Maybe he could find a cave.

She almost thought that she'd rather be spending time with these idiots somewhere else than be alone on this stupid island. It was worse that she was stuck with both for now, of course. A small muse reminescent of Estellise chimed in that everything would be all right.
'Fine, fine... Make the best of it. Whatever.'

Soon, he realized he wasn't standing on sandy terrain anymore. It's quite hard ground and trees were everywhere. Oh great! He didn't need a shelter. He approached one of the trees and lay under its shade.
Late mun is late--sorry! Dx
"Well, it can stay there for all I care." The fonist added. The brunette's eyes searched among the undergrowth for any signs of rockier climate. Rockier areas meant more of a chance for shelter, whether it was caves or an overhanging cliffside. After another few steps, she paused. There! Was it...perfect.
"Hey, I think we might find something nearby." She had caught sight of an almost trail-like structure off far to the side. "Come on." Regardless of whether the rest followed or not, she went off to follow the "trail."
((OoC: Aww :( *huggles Taco* Hope it all becomes...well..better!
Also, I apologize for lateness? Largish post to make up for it? ^^;))
