Who: Zelos Wilder, Philia Felice
Where: Daath.
When: After Collete and Philia chat about Zelos and how charming he is.
Warnings: Nada.

It was rather early in the morning, birds were chirping, the sun was shining. Another beautiful day in Daath, but from Zelos was standing he couldn’t observe its true beauty. He had woken up early, finding himself not needing as much sleep as he used to. Blaming it on his new found power and strength, he sighed. Zelos always did like his beauty sleep and new power or not, he was determined to get as much as he could, even if he didn’t need it. Waking up and packing what he needed could only take so long, and he soon found himself wandering around the Cathedral, visiting places he used to visit as a pastime till everyone woke up and was ready to leave.

Opening the heavy door he stood in front of, Zelos entered the one room he tended to frequently visit the most, the training room. All of the knights were either still asleep or out on early morning patrols around the city, so the training room remained bare and quiet during these hours. Crossing his arms and smiling thoughtfully, he stepped further into the large vacant room, scanning every inch and detail before pausing in the middle.

Lightbulb!

Large vacant room? That sounded like the perfect place to test out his wings. Having yet to test their capabilities in battle and flight, this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Closing his eyes and concentrating for a brief moment, he allowed his wings to fade into sight with a large burst of orange and red light. Zelos folded them in around his body, and carefully began stroking the large colorful appendages.

Always one early to bed and early to rise, Philia found herself wandering the halls of Daath as a sort of final farewell, having a premonition that it would be the last of which she would see the Cathedral for a long time; their journey wasn't likely to have them return here anytime soon, after all. Even this time was quite the surprise, truth be told.

She only rarely had the opportunity to visit the training room, seeing as she wasn't part of the Oracle Knights, but Anise once told her that one of her textbooks she borrowed remained there, but imagine her surprise when she saw Zelos... and his wings.

"Sir Wilder...?" She was a bit mesmerized by the beauty of the wings Efreet gave him. Certainly she also had a fonic arte which was given to her, and it seemed a bit odd how she also received something despite not holding the ability for the Aurora Arte. Stepping down the stairs, she made her way toward Zelos.

dammit, i think i'm starting to ship this.

Philia hadn't known Zelos for that long, truth be told, but she simply stood there for a few seconds in silence; it seemed as though she began to realize that his flirtatious behavior was more or less a defensive mechanism. Once that thought entered her mind, it became more and more difficult to hold it against him. She began to wonder exactly when it became so much time she invested with him, more than anybody else.

Typically her reaction would be to become flustered, but holding her hands together in front of her, with a solemn expression on her face... she took a deep breath. "The wings that Lord Efreet gave you... do they hurt at all, Sir Wilder?" She couldn't imagine what it would be like harboring the potential for the Dark Aurora Arte, or having wings of the fifth fonon protrude from one's back.

like, totally.

"That's good to hear." Philia gave a sigh of relief, continuing to walk toward Zelos before she stopped a few feet in front of him. Her hands remained folded in front of her. "If there are any complications, you should let me know. I must admit..." She turned her gaze to the floor and the side. "I'm a bit wary of the Dark Aurora Arte. And while the Order of Lorelei may view it as important to achieve, I worry whether or not it will be harmful to you." She returned her gaze to Zelos. "Sir Wilder... please be careful. I'm not entirely certain what the Dark Aurora Arte entails, but I can't be convinced it's entirely a good thing. If anything were to happen to you, I don't think my conscience would be able to rest easy."

It's true; the texts in Daath only confirmed what she already didn't know; the Aurora Artes were relatively unknown, and as for the reason why the Order wished to harness their power was a mystery. Nothing was in the historical documents, nor the official public documents. It was a bit distressing to Philia not knowing what was the true purpose of it... and why she was selected to accompany Zelos on his pilgrimage.

"I see." Philia recalled her earlier conversation with Colette; Zelos certainly was grasping for anything, it seemed. "We are more than capable of defending ourselves, Sir Wilder; Miss Brunel happens to be a Fon Master Guardian, and they tend to be able to protect not only the Fon Master but also themselves. As for Miss Meredy and me, please, do not worry about us. It is my duty to accompany you, and I intend to follow that duty through." A small smile emerged from her lips, but that's all it was.

Bowing, Philia took a step back. "We'll all be ready to leave at the appointed time; if you need anything else, please let me know before that." She turned away, back to climbing the steps.

That was certainly a new aspect of Zelos Philia hadn't witnessed before; Philia deigned to give him her attention a little bit longer. Well, in fact, she wished she could spend just a little bit more time with him... he just seemed too preoccupied to uphold a decent conversation. But if he wanted something, then that was just as well.

... since when did Philia actually want to spend more time with Sir Wilder? The simple idea was preposterous!

... but indulging him just a little bit longer couldn't be that bad of a thing.

Turning around, she watched. "Yes, Sir Wilder?"

does that mean Philia's Zack?

"A-aa!" Philia was a bit surprised at Zelos' forward behavior, and this time he got a slight blush out of her. As he lifted her up bridal style, Philia stammered. "S-sir Wilder! This is unsafe! I must beg you to reconsider; you're still fatigued from the events of yesterday, and I-" Before she could finish her sentences, though, taking a look down she had realized that they were indeed above the ground, causing her to clutch tightly to Zelos, her head tugged against his chest hanging on for dear life.

OMG ARE YOU CALLING PHILIA FAT?! ;_;

Catching her breath, Philia took a step away by pushing herself from Zelos. "Sir Wilder, that was exceptionally dangerous!" She exasperated. "As well you should ask somebody before initiating something such as that! What if something dangerous were to happen, as an earthquake! You need to practice more prudence and think before you act so carelessly!" Making her way up the stairs in a huff, she turned back to Zelos once more. "... at least, next time, make it outside in the open where it's safer." Turning once more, she made her exit.
