Who: Mieu and Arietta
Where: In the forest
When: Right after Arche sets fire to the ligers forest
Mieu clutched at the Sorcerer's Ring, glancing about him. He'd just been practicing, trying to breathe just a little flame, when the forest all around him was suddenly burning. The poor little cheagle was now trapped, and even using the Sorcerer's Ring, he had no way of not becoming barbecue.
As soon as she recieved word of the fire, Arietta was determined to return to the forest. That was where her family lived, and her siblings were due to hatch soon so she needed to make sure they were all okay. Once she arrived, she was horrified to see the flames still burning, but she still hopped off her monsters back and ran into the burning forest. She just HAD to know that the ligers were safe.
Mieu thought he heard something, and ignoring the fact that it could be a predator, he cried out, hoping for anyone to come and rescue him. "Mieu~!" he cried.
The sound wasn't one she had hoped to hear, but Arietta nonetheless followed it. She hadn't expected to find a cheagle so close to her mother's territory and, while the God-General wasn't as familiar with cheagles as she was with other types of monsters, she knew that they could breath fire. With that thought, it didn't take much to connect this cheagle with the fire.
"You!" Arietta moved towards the little creature, her usual melancholy giving way to anger at seeing her home destroyed. "Why did you do this?!"
"Mieu~?" Mieu backed up. Not liger = good, but he wasn't sure what to do with her. "Mieu didn't do it!"
"Liar!" Arietta followed the cheagle as he backed away, eventually reaching down to try and grab hold of him. "You're the only one here, so it has to be you! I... I know Mommy doesn't get along with cheagles, but that doesn't mean you can destroy our home!"
Meiu squirmed, but couldn't get free. "Meiu didn't do it! Mieu was trying to breathe fire, but Mieu couldn't, and then the fire started up anyway!" Mieu was afraid, he didn't know what this girl would do to him.
Arietta shook her head as she picked the cheagle up, making sure to keep a good hold on him. "Stop lying, you... you... cheagle! I know you did it, and I'm going to make you pay for it!" She wasn't exactly sure how just yet, but now that she had him, she wasn't going to let him get away with burning the ligers territory.
"Mieu~" Mieu wimpered. He knew there was no way out of this, but it really wasn't his fault!
