[CHAPTER 02 - SCENE] Maybe Someday
Who: Luke fon Fabre, Natalia L.K. Lanvaldear
Where: Aboard the ferry on the way to Baticul Port. After Luke talks with Tear.
When: After Choral Castle, before Baticul.
Warnings: None.
After talking with Tear, Luke found himself shuffling around, feeling the tiniest bit better. Well, maybe. Rubbing the back of his neck, he sighed. He really couldn't wait to get back home. He came across the cabin Natalia was occupying, and wondering if she was in there or not, he began knocking. It was an odd sensation, since it was always the other way around during the past, her coming to the manor and knocking on his door. Or, rather, yelling at the maids for losing track of him once again. Those memories brought a smile on his face ever so slightly. "Natalia, are you there?"

It was an odd sensation, since it was always the other way around during the past, her coming to the manor and knocking on his door. Or, rather, yelling at the maids for losing track of him once again. Those memories brought a smile on his face ever so slightly. "Natalia, are you there?"

A knock on the door brought her out of her thoughts, and she smiled at the sound of Luke's voice. It was a little unusual for him to come to her, although that was mostly since he'd never been permitted to leave the Fabre manor, but it was a welcomed change.
"Yes, one moment," she called, before moving to open the door. "Is something the matter, Luke?"

"Yes, it would be bad," Natalia agreed with a short nod, "I'm not sure what I'll say exactly, but I will explain that Guy had nothing to do with my leaving." Of course, trying to explain the situation without implicating Chester as well was going to be a tricky feat. Even if he hadn't returned to Baticul with them, she didn't want to see anything happen to him should he return to the city at a later time.
The blonde thought for a moment, then added. "I won't allow anything to happen to Guy, I promise.
... lol, I completely forgot about Chester! >.>;
Of all of the lives in the world, he was certain that his family, including Natalia and Guy, were lives he didn't want to lose.
Oh dear... XD;
"I'd like that, Luke. Thank you," she replied, smiling. Not that there was much that needed to be figured out, but it could raise some questions if their stories differed in any way. "I do not think Father would ask you about how I was able to leave Baticul, but as for what happened after we were able to find each other again... I'm sure it would cause quite a commotion if we told him different stories."

Crossing his arms, Luke sighed. "I guess it's not that important. Anyway, we met on the Tartarus which was on its way to Baticul for the peace treaty, right...?"
no subject
That seemed to be the only logical explanation, at least. It was a little strange, but Natalia supposed it didn't matter too much anymore. Luke had been found, and that was what was important.
"Moving on, we eventually caught up to the Tartarus, where we were all able to reunite again. From there we traveled to Kaitzur, and then we were required to take a bit of a... detour to Choral Castle. Does that sound about right?"
no subject
"So, basically, our stories on the Tartarus and afterward need to match up, which shouldn't be too hard since there's no need to differ on our stories, anyway." Scratching his chin, Luke contemplated on this. "So the Tartarus, Kaitzur, and Choral Castle. That should work. Though, I don't know how Uncle will react to members of the Order of Lorelei kidnapping me and trying to help out with the treaty agreements..." Luke still didn't even know what that creepy flamboyant guy was doing to him in Choral Castle anyway, and why were the God Generals defying Master Van? There was a lot about the world Luke didn't know, but even considering that it made little sense to him. "I'm not sure I can even trust the Order after what had just happened, to be honest."
no subject
"I admit that their behavior is odd, but we shouldn't allow the God-Generals' actions affect our thoughts on the Order as a whole. I don't know what their motives were, but they -- and the Order of Lorelei as well -- certainly can't want a war to happen." There would be far too many casualties if the peace treaty fell through, and no one could want that, right..?
no subject
It then dawned on him. "I... I'd rather not get Tear into trouble."
no subject
"I'd rather keep Chester out of trouble as well." No good would come from him being punished, especially since she had been the one to insist on everything. She'd also promised that nothing would happen to him, and she was determined to keep her word. That would have to wait until she was able to speak with her father back in Baticul though; right now there was something else she wanted to know.
"By the way, Luke, just what did happen between you and Tear?"
no subject
"But also, what was going on between you and Chester, huh?" Luke decided to divert the conversation to that topic. Not that he thought anything fishy was going on, but Chester was a commoner, and from the looks of it he wasn't even Kimlascan. Not that he was angry or jealous or anything. Not at all.
no subject
Natalia sighed. Really, she should've expected to have the question (with Chester replacing Tear, of course) directed back to her. She wasn't exactly sure why she was so hesitant to explain, but Luke had been honest with her thus far. The very least she could do was return the favor.
"I needed help to leave Baticul. Guy had already gone, despite our having a prior agreement, so Chester was the only one I could turn to." That was the truth of the matter, though after a brief pause, she added, "He's a friend."
no subject
Sighing, the noble leaned against the wall, crossing his arms. "Well, I guess that's it, then." I missed you, Natalia... "Anything else?"
no subject
"No, I think that covers everything. Now we must simply wait until we arrive home." A shame, really... Natalia wasn't sure whether or not Luke had planned to go off again once they discussed what to say (as well as what not to say) to her father, but she wasn't ready for their time together to end just yet. It might've been a little selfish, but she wasn't too proud to admit that even she had her vices.
"Although, it shouldn't be too much longer before we arrive at the port." There was a short pause -- after all, she wasn't entirely used to requesting things like this -- and then she smiled. "...Would you walk with me, for a little while? The city should become visible soon, and... it's a truly lovely sight."
no subject
"... I'd like that." No smile, but a blush emerged.
