Who: Luke and Guy
Where/When: Baticul (before the audience with Ingobert)
Warnings: None that I can think of.



To say that Guy had been surprised would have been an understatement. He was still slightly shaken up by seeing his cousin (on his mother's side) greet them when they'd gotten off the ferry. He'd seen her before, of course, considering she was under Duke Fabre's command, but as a servant, he'd never been introduced to her, or even heard her name. However, he could see that there was someone else in their party who was even more uncomfortable with returning to Baticul than he was.

Natalia would serve as well as Luke could in getting Jade and Ion the audience with King Ingobert, so as soon as the group got off of the lift from the docks, Guy reached out and put his hand on Luke's shoulder. "Luke, wait up a sec." He waved at the others, that they'd catch up.

"Maybe, but I'm not worried about that now. Just three more years and I'll be free anyway. I could go without this much excitement again." Luke simply dismissed the notion. "Why be worried about me now? You could have waited until later. There's something on your mind, Guy?" Typically Luke wasn't the empathetic type, but Guy was obviously bothered about something.
