Estellise could tell that Rita wasn't in the best of moods; if her words didn't say it, her entire being seemed to. She wasn't the best at hiding what she really felt, and Estellise didn't really feel right keeping her here.
But she placed a few cookies on Rita's plate and poured her a cup of tea anyway, before pouring herself a cup of tea and placing the kettle down, folding both hands neatly in her lap. She averted her gaze to the side.
"I won't keep you here if it's not what you want," She said softly, an odd sort of smile coming to her face before she all but beamed at the other girl.
"It was nice of you to accept my parents' request, and I'm really glad that I've gotten to know you even the little that I have. But I don't want you to feel as if you have to be here. If you'd like, you can get back to your business, and I can talk to my parents about it."
She couldn't stand keeping the smaller girl here if it was obvious she had other, better things to do. And it was probably true; there were better things for a young researcher to do than have a tea party with a lonely young lady.
Still, Estellise wouldn't deny thoroughly enjoying the company.
