"She took him from me!" Arietta exclaimed, her voice rising in pitch. "I'm the one who wants to protect him, but Anise took him! And you... Y-you were supposed to bring him back to me..." She hugged her doll more tightly, obviously trying to regain control of her emotions.

After a brief pause, she eased her hold and looked straight at the blond. "If you want Luke, you have to give me Ion. That was what I told you, and since you don't have Ion with you... You'll die." That said, Arietta looked to the advancing liger. "Go!"

And with that, the liger charged.
