Jay made a mental note to officially watch out for whenever Zelos said something. It was obvious to him that the redhead was volatile in his emotions, not to mention far too cocky and arrogant. This was the person who seemed to be leading the expedition, the person who was going to bring God-General Balir's precious daughter into a volcano.
… Joy. Of course, there was no guarantee that they would ever make it to the volcano if he kept mouthing off to the God-General standing right in front of them. Choosing to make an attempt to get Zelos to shut up then, Jay offered a bit of advice, "She wouldn't even have to waste her bullets on you if you had enough of an attention span to listen up to this conversation. Philia has my pity for putting up for you so long if she has to do all the talking too." Obviously, he was very direct with his opinion. But how could he possibly get through Zelos's thick head if he was any other way? But the way he saw this, even if Zelos shut up, there was no guarantee that this little encounter wouldn't take forever. Jay needed to get out of this library, he'd had his information. Although it wasn't like it would be a good idea to leave this group behind with an irritable Legretta, at least not for too long. There could be an accident of sorts, probably a casualty on the side opposing the God-General.
So he felt like offering an alternative, and being the generous soul he was, he would offer his own free time to help get them out of this mess, "How about this: I'm a neutral party. I can get information quickly. I'll leave the room and speak with Grand Maestro Mohs. Legretta stays here and makes sure you lot don't run off, and we clarify whether Philia's telling the truth. I don't want to waste my time helping you all, but it wouldn't be good if a fight broke out here."
