One by one other people entered the library. Jay paused and listened to their voices. He recognized a few of them, and almost all of them belonged to persons who spent considerable time in Daath. What could they be doing in the lower library? This library wasn't often used, only for people who couldn't find what they were looking for in the upper library. All he knew was that there were more elusive files tucked in this library, which was why he visited rather often. Not to mention it was his secondary way of getting into Daath.
He quickly read over the last paragraph in the book he was reading and replaced it back into the shelf. His client would be pleased with the information he'd gathered, but could he get out without being noticed? ... Stupid question. Of course he could. There was a reason that he was noted as Jay the Unseen, after all. But he paused and listened to some of the conversation, they were still on another aisle and couldn't see him. One of the voices could be recognized as Meredy, daughter of one of the God-Generals. A Fon Master Guardian, a priestess and...
"What's this? That sounds like..." Jay murmured to himself before peering around the corner and catching sight of Zelos. Well, that's one figure that he didn't expect to see. He also sensed one more presence in the room, but couldn't pinpoint their exact location. They were obviously hiding, and rather stealthy about it as well. Deciding it would be best to expose them now before they could cause damage later on, Jay approached the group and said rather simply, "I'm not sure what your business is here, but you're being followed."
Not caring much for the person who was following them, Jay saw this as a chance to gain information. Glancing over their group, he attempted to match names to faces, "Meredy, Philia, Colette, Zelos..." His mind immediately went to work as he tried to decipher what they could be there for. He frowned as he didn't come up with anything and said, "I don't care what you're here for, but should you really be traveling this far into the cathedral? There may be some paths you didn't expect to find."
